I am sickened by this politicizing of one of the best shows ever on television. I am a 67 year old mother/grandmother and my family has watched the AGS so many times that we can quote most of the episodes. I have always known that Andy was a democrat and Ron Howard was a liberal but this is beyond the pale. Although it makes absolutely no difference to either Andy, Ron or Henry, we will no longer be watching The Andy Griffith Show at my house for the forseeable future. Ron, while you ran to Canada, my brother was fighting in Viet Nam for you to have the freedom to disdain your country and the freedom to make your movies and become unbelievably wealthy. As for being afraid of change, yes, I am very afraid of the kind of change Barack Obama would bring to this great country. I guess this is not all that important but I will say it is heartbreaking for those of us who have watched little Opie and the life lessons taught by his Pa, which bear absolutely no resemblance to the leftist agenda of the democrat party and most especially Barack Obama. I really wonder how you people sleep at night. I am praying with all my might that we will be spared this ultra-liberal being elected to the highest office of the great United States of America.

Carol, I’m very afraid of people like you who can’t see 2 inches from their nose. After the last 8 years of living hell, seeing our country going down the drain people like you deserve exactly what you’ll get if that so called hero gets the position not to mention that Sarah Palin is freighting. Don’t watch Andy and Ron, I’m sure that won’t hurt their feelings at all, I’m sure they would rather have our country back where it was before the Bush joke took over. Have a nice day.
